Chris and his team researched and perfected the ZeroChlor technology in 2018, and introduced this technology to the market. It delivers two important solutions for swimming pool maintenance. First, it purifies the water, literally down to drinkable standards. Secondly, because the technology does not use either salt or chlorine, this helps preserve the color of pool liners and effectively extends their useful life from 10 years to more than 25 years.
This technology has disrupted the pool industry! The ZeroChlor Pool System is a powerful AOP (Advanced Oxidation Process) system, capable of producing over 40,000g of oxidation per hour. This unprecedented level of oxidation is produced using electrolysis. Ozone is not used in ZeroChlor Pool Systems. Filtration in this system filters the pool water down to one micron.

Our beginnings, and the market needs we address
The Lazy Day Pools™/EVERNU™ story traces its beginnings to 2004 when Marine Corps Veteran and former police officer Chris Ward launched the company.
With a young family and a recently-earned business degree, Chris was seeking a way to supplement his income, so he took a job part-time cleaning pools. He saw a lot of demand for the services but believed that most of the companies under-performed. “I knew I could do this better,” he said. His business degree had taught him to focus on quality and process improvement – two areas that he saw as deficient throughout the industry – and that gave him the incentive to go out on his own.
Pool cleaning would become one of the core services in the Lazy Day Pools™ menu of services, but there would be more. Much more. Initially, the core focus of Lazy Day Pools™ included In-Ground Vinyl Liner Replacements, Safety Cover Installations, Vinyl Pool Remodeling and Swimming Pool Opening /Closing.
The company grew to become the largest vinyl liner replacement company in America. Lazy Day Pools™ installs between 200 and 300 liners each year, providing the highest quality locally manufactured liners and utilizing only the best trained liner installers with years of experience, including thousands of in-house installations.
As the business grew, Chris saw a customer need that he set out to solve. One concern people had about new pool liners is that the color fades over time. A bright blue pool liner, when new, looks great. But the majority of pools use either salt water or chlorine and this causes the color of the liners to fade over time. The average lifespan of a pool liner is about 10 years and one of the reasons people seek replacements is that the color fades. Chris harnessed four separate technologies in the market, which led to the creation of a sister company, ZeroChlor Pool Systems. This technology will figure prominently into the EVERNU™ franchise opportunity.
